Remove files with special characters

Commands

Try a - or -- at the beginning of the filename

$ rm -v -- -file
$ rm -v -- --file

Put it in quotes

$ rm -v -- "@#$%^&file"
$ rmdir -v -- "--dirnameHere"

Remove file by an inode number

$ ls -li
total 32K
5512410 drwxr-xr-x  6 oschraml oschraml 4.0K Jan 30 08:28 ./
5249095 drwxr-xr-x 16 oschraml oschraml 4.0K Jan 18 15:53 ../
